2015 Sparkling Rosé Reserve
To say we’re excited about this wine is an understatement. One of the few bright spots in the otherwise disastrous 2015 vintage was the the small lot of Pinot Noir we managed to harvest at just the right level of ripeness to make a killer bottle of bubbly. After whole cluster pressing and a brief window of on-skin fermentation, the base wine went into barrel for 3 months to develop just a hint of the burnished richness that only French oak can add. Four (count ‘em!) years of bottle aging after secondary fermentation further refined the soft, moussy bubbles and raspberry torte aromatics. There’s just so much here – delicate strawberries and cream on the nose; round, enveloping fruit on the palate; and a lengthy, savory finish that refreshes as it lingers. It’s a damn special bottle, and we can’t wait to share it with you.
