It was a cool spring, followed by an average to warm summer. Fall rains came early, and all the Cabernet Franc was harvested after a frost at the beginning of November.
The grapes were 100% destemmed and fermented in stainless steel fermenters for 21 days. The fermentation was 100% indigenous, both for primary and secondary (malolactic) fermentation. The wine was aged on lees for 16 months in 100% French oak. The blend is 16% new oak, the remainder being a blend of 1-year and neutral French oak.
