Tasting Notes
Aromas: Smarties candy, citrus blossom, kaffir lime. Flavors: kiwi, honeysuckle, marmalade. Finish: soft, supple, good acidity.
Vineyard Notes
It was a cool spring followed by an average to warm summer, and fall rains came early. Fruit was sourced from both the north portion of the vineyard (where there are younger vines on lower, sandier soil) and the south portion (where the vines are older and are located on a west-facing slope). The canopy was starting to turn golden but was still healthy when we picked. About 10-15% of the fruit showed botrytis.
