2021 Rosé of Pinot Gris

It was a cool spring, followed by an average to warm summer. Fall rains came early, and this wine was picked toward the end of our rain event. The fruit sees a great deal of sunlight and wind movement, which not only dried the vines and fruit out during the rain but also leads to greater flavor concentration. The juice is soaked on the skins for several days until it reaches the desired amount of tannin and color. It is then pressed into a tank and settled for two days before going into barrel for fermentation.
